Amorita Resort
The Amorita Resort, nestled in the beaches of Alona Beach in Bohol was a triumph in designing a modern, eco-friendly, and sustainable resort. Featuring plenty of landscaped open spaces and gardens, the design fully respected the environment it was built upon by incorporating materials indigenous to the region in its construction.
Collaborative in nature, the entire resort was completed in several phases. 260 Architects conceptualized both its masterplan and the initial phase which included the villas, the deluxe rooms, and the poolside restaurant and dive center; while the late PLA Franklin “Frank” Borja did the landscape design. This phase began in 2004, and was completed in 2007. The second phase was a collaboration between 260 Architects, Budji Layug, and Arch. Royal Pineda. This phase included the further enhancement of the work done in the first phase; and the addition of new sea villas, bedroom suites, a new restaurant, a new pool, and an “Artist’s Village”.
