Balay Kōbō

Balay Kōbō is a daylight home and studio that elevates and holds space for beauty. It reimagines photography through intentional architectural and interior design with a goal to fuse individuality and collaboration, as well as gentleness and resilience.

Those who are curious enough to come by are offered a refined experience of Filipino and Japanese sensibilities, with a modern Brutalist twist. The sophisticated-yet-soothing space offers both comfort and clarity – ideal for creatives to tap into clear minds and intrinsic inspiration. Some of its key features include wooden decks, a zen garden, a daylight and kitchen studio, and an edgeless cyclorama.

The space was built to fill the gap in the creative industry: a well-designed studio in the city meant for co-creation. A communal space at heart, it has become an up-and-coming venue that brings people and ideas together through a wide range of activities–from workshops to artist residencies, all the way to intimate events.
